Your body isn’t the problem. Your clothes are.

You bought a sewing machine with good intentions.

Maybe you even took a workshop, watched a few tutorials, or started a project.

But then something happened.

The machine stayed on the table.

Or it went back into the box.

And sewing became one of those things you meant to get back to.

Not because you don’t want to learn.

But because learning sewing on your own can feel confusing and overwhelming.

You don’t know what to practise.

You’re not sure if you’re doing things correctly.

And when something goes wrong, it’s hard to know how to fix it.

That’s exactly why I created SEW EVERY DAY.

A membership designed to help you build real sewing skills through small, manageable lessons and consistent practice.

So instead of trying to learn everything at once…

You simply take the next step

What is

Sew

Every

Day?

SEW EVERY DAY is a structured sewing membership that helps you build strong foundations & lasting skills

— so you can eventually sew clothes that fit and feel good on your body.

INSIDE THE MEMBERSHIP YOU'LL FIND:

• Short, clear lessons (2–5 minutes)
• Modules that build your skills step-by-step
• A supportive community of other learners
• Optional live support if you want guidance along the way

It’s designed for people who want to learn properly,

not just collect projects.

No long-term commitment.

Cancel anytime with 5 days’ notice before your next billing date.

Why Most People Never Get Past the Beginner Stage of Sewing

Many people want to

learn how to sew

They start full of enthusiasm.

But then something happens:

threading the machine alone seems impossible!

when they do sew it’s messy

- there are so many new things to learn!

- overwhelm sets in :(

and the sewing machine ends up sitting there

quietly…

for months.

Not because they don’t want to sew.

But because they don’t know what to practise next.

Sewing skills build on each other.

And when you're learning on your own, it’s very easy to end up jumping between random tutorials or projects without building the foundations that make everything easier.

So every time you sit down to sew, it feels like you're starting again.

And that’s frustrating.

It’s actually very similar to clothes shopping...

Every time you walk into a shop looking

for something that fits your body properly…

You’re starting at zero again.

Different brands.
Different sizing.

Different shapes.

Trends that just don’t work on your body…

And if your one pair of go-to jeans suddenly disappears from the shops…

Well… you’re back at square one!

But when you learn to sew, something very different happens.

You start building blocks.

Patterns that work for your body.
Techniques you understand.
Skills you can return to again and again.

Instead of starting from scratch every time…

You’re building a system that works for you.

Little by little, your sewing becomes easier.

Your confidence grows.

And eventually you realise something quite powerful:

You don’t have to rely on the shops anymore.

You can make the clothes yourself.

And honestly…

what’s not to love about that?

Am I the right teacher for you?

I AM the teacher for you if...

  • You want to make clothes that fit and feel good on YOUR body

  • You like learning in a systematic way, starting at the beginning & consistently building your skillset step by step

  • You care about comfort and how your clothes FEEL as much as how they look

  • You value sustainability and want to create clothes you’ll wear for years to come

  • You enjoy learning at a relaxed pace, one skill at a time

I'm NOT the teacher for you if...

  • You expect “one-size-fits-all” sewing patterns

  • You’d rather skip the basics and jump straight into advanced projects

  • You prefer to figure things out on your own without much guidance

  • You prefer a task-based or results-only approach to learning

  • You’re more interested in making something new for every occasion

You don't just want to

“learn how to sew.”

You want to feel confident, creative and capable.

You want to love your body and the planet.

And you want to feel amazing in what you wear!

With my teaching, you get:

Clear step-by-step instruction

Real, tangible support for the parts you find tricky

Techniques that actually make sense - no glossing over / half-explaining things

And the joy of finishing pieces you love to wear

Whether you're brand new or ready to level up, there’s a path designed just for you!

Founding Cohort – Limited Places

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This membership will open a few times per year.

For this first cohort, I’m keeping the group small — just 20 members.

This allows me to:

• give proper support
• respond to questions
• shape the membership around what members need

Future cohorts may be larger, but this first group will help build the community from the beginning.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Doors open on Wednesday 18th March

If you'd love to finally feel confident using your sewing machine

— and start building real skills step by step —

I’d love to welcome you inside.

Join Sew Every Day

Your sewing machine isn’t sitting in the corner anymore.

You sit down at it (regularly) without that little feeling of uncertainty.

You know:

how your machine works
• which stitch to use
• which presser foot makes things easier
• how to approach a sewing project step-by-step

Instead of wondering “Where do I even start?”

You simply open the next lesson and keep building your skills.

All you have to do is show up. The route is mapped out for you, it’s made easy, it’s fun and you have the company of other women just like you.

Little by little, you’re becoming someone who actually sews.

Not perfectly.

But confidently.

And eventually…

You’ll be ready to start making clothes that fit your body,

feel comfortable, and reflect your own style.

That’s the journey SEW EVERY DAY is designed to support!

FAQs

Do I need a sewing machine?

Yes — you’ll need access to a sewing machine to follow the lessons.
The first modules are designed to help you understand your machine and assume that you know nothing about sewing.

Is the membership for men and women?

No, the membership is currently for women only.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes.

The membership starts with the core foundations that every sewist needs to understand before moving on to techniques or garments.

Even if you’ve never sewn before, you’ll be able to follow along step by step.

What if I’m not a beginner?

Even if you already know your machine, the core modules will still help fill in gaps around things like presser feet, stitches, tools and techniques that many sewists never properly learn. And inside the membership you’ll also be able to bring along the projects you're working on at home and ask questions when you get stuck.

Having people with a little more experience in the community is actually a huge benefit for everyone — beginners learn from seeing what’s possible, and you’ll have a space where you can keep building your skills rather than sewing alone.

How long do I have access?

As long as your membership is active, you’ll have access to all modules and new content released during that time.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Should you wish to cancel your membership, please contact Sew Your Own Clothes via email, giving a minimum of 5 days’ notice to avoid being charged when not using your membership:

Email: [email protected]

When does the membership open again?

SEW EVERY DAY with Support will open a few times per year.

If you miss this cohort, the next opportunity to join may be a few months away.

However, you can join SEW EVERY DAY Self-Paced at any time and start learning immediately.

Elaine's Story

I stepped out in my first homemade dress at the weekend. Not perfect by any stretch but so proud of what I achieved and dying to get moving on something else now.

Thanks for all your guidance and inspiration. I definitely would never have had the confidence to give it a go without your two classes.

- Elaine

Marie's Story

I was always afraid of cutting out and never knew which way to lay the material - what needed to be parallel to what and & how to cut out the notches - but Jen made it so easy and gave us lots of tips and tricks to make it less confusing.

She is a brilliant teacher and gives notes so  you can look back after. Thanks to Jen,  I'm not afraid of cutting out  anymore :)
